Studies have proven that Cassia Cinnamon has more than 15 times Coumarin (0.31 grams/KG) content when compared to Ceylon Cinnamon (0.17 grams/KG). Excess consumption of Coumarin can cause Liver Failure. Other types of Cinnamon are also known to have significantly higher levels of Coumarin than Ceylon Cinnamon.
